Dr. Chris Bernheisel, Team Best Practices Co-Lead, is an Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Cincinnati and holds the Robert and Myfanwy Smith Chair of Family Medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. His career has focused on graduate medical education, serving as a residency Program Director for a decade and serving on multiple medical education committee positions at the state and national levels. His academic work has revolved around medical education, focusing on resident education through patient- and family-centered rounds, the application of Training Within Industry in resident education, and the training process of developing community-responsive physicians. His clinical work is at a Federally Qualified Health Center, which serves patients with housing insecurity or who are unhoused.
