Dr. Hoda Shabpiray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toledo, where she also completed her residency in Internal Medicine. She is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Shabpiray provides primary care to all patients, including the LGBTQ community. She has established an obesity medicine clinic to help patients achieve safe and effective weight loss.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Shabpiray serves as the Medical Director of the University of Toledo Mobile Health Unit, which delivers essential healthcare services to underserved communities. She is actively involved in multi-institutional collaborative research projects and serves as a reviewer for Translation: The University of Toledo Journal of Medical Sciences. Her research interests include obesity, transgender healthcare, and educational interventions in medical training.
