Kristin Baughman, PhD

Dr. Kristin Baughman is an Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). She received her PhD in Sociology with a minor in Public Health Education from Indiana University. She was a National Institute of Mental Health Pre-Doctoral Fellow in the Training Program in Identity, Self, Role, and Mental Health while at Indiana University and a scholar in residence at the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron in 2010.

Dr. Baughman has taught at NEOMED since 2005. Her research is focused on health behaviors, obesity, sleep disorders, advance care planning, and patient empowerment. Dr. Baughman serves on NEOMED's Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects and is Director of the NEOMED Student Training in Aging-Related Research Summer Fellowship Program.
