Dr. Ayo Adesanya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at The Ohio State University, where he is also a member of the Dorothy M. Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute. Dr. Adesanya completed his medical school, graduate school, and Family Medicine residency at The Ohio State University. As a primary care physician-scientist trained in cardiovascular biology, he has clinical interests in cardiovascular health and research interests in studying biological mechanisms to prevent cardiovascular disease. His research currently focuses on environment-biology interactions in hypertension as the most common condition encountered in primary care and a major driver of cardiovascular disease and health disparities.
