Interpretation of the Nutrition Facts Panel (NFP) and Front of Package (FOP) label can be taught as part of a primary care clinical visit. Simplified, pictorial food label education can lead to improved food choices and health outcomes, especially for patients with limited health literacy and numeracy skills.
