Summary

In the second clinic of the Cardi-OH ECHO QI Cardiovascular Series, Aleece Caron, PhD, reviews technical and adaptive challenges in quality improvement initiatives, the key attributes of adaptive leadership, and practical tools and approaches in implementing change. The teams then review a clinical pearl on the pharmacologic treatment of hypertension in a patient with uncontrolled stage 2 hypertension before engaging in a case discussion on building a QI team and starting a QI project for hypertension.
