Run and Control Charts

Summary

For the ninth clinic of the Cardi-OH ECHO QI Cardiovascular Series, Aleece Caron, PhD, describes the aspects of run and control charts and provides strategies for using these charts in QI work. She applys these tools to the individual participant QI projects. Clinics then consider a clinical pearl on addressing adverse reactions to medications through anticipatory guidance, then discuss a case study on using data to improve rates of prescription of newer medications through a clinic's QI efforts.
