Summary
Listen to Karen Bailey, MS, RDN, LD, CDCES, from Ohio University, discuss the prevalence of low nutrition literacy and its impact on health outcomes. She will share screening tools for primary care providers and, along with Jennifer Gilmore, RN, BSN, CRCC, from the University of Toledo, demonstrate effective communication strategies to help patients make healthier food choices through a brief role-play. Additionally, resources for food access will be provided to support patients facing food insecurity.
